It promises to be another busy transfer window involving Nigeria stars and SCORENigeria takes a closer look at the Top 10 players who will dominate the media space as the wheeling and dealing in the game gets going again.
10.Anayo Iwuala
Enyimba have put a Million Euros price tag on their daring winger. His brief appearances for the Super Eagles, mostly dominated by players based in Europe, have certainly got some some clubs in Europe interested. He should go for less than half of what Enyimba are asking for.
9.Paul Mukairu
He did well at Anderlecht on loan from Turkish Super Lig club Antalyaspor. The Belgian club have the option to now buy him permanently for 2.5 Million Euros. But even if they don’t he has concrete offers on the table to stay in mainland Europe with clubs in Italy and France keen to sign the 22-year-old winger.
8. Alhassan Yusuf
It is still baffling why despitehis impressive numbers, ‘Hasse’ has yet to make the next move away from Swedish club IFK Goteborg. He has for over the past one year been linked with clubs in the Premier League as well as in Belgium and Holland. If this ‘Upgraded Kante’ still does not move by this window, he could well quit his Swedish club as a free agent by next year.
7.Sadiq Umar
Promotion for UD Almeria back to La Liga or not will determine the future of this prolific striker. He has netted 20 goals in the Segunda Division, but unfortunately, his club failed to secure automatic promotion back to the Spamish top tier. They could still make it back to La Liga via the playoffs. Should they be promoted, Sadiq will most likely stay put for at least another season, but they failed to do so, Almeria may be ready to listen to the bigger clubs to sell.
6.Emmanuel Dennis
He does not have a future at Belgian champions Club Brugge and also failed to impress on loan at Bundesliga club Cologne. He still has a contract with Club Brugge, but he will most likely be playing his football next season elsewhere. Serie A club Atalanta have been mentioned as a possible destination. What is certain is that Club Brugge will not get the 25 Million Euros they were banking on a year ago.
5.Frank Onyeka
In January, the box-to-box midfielder was expected to move away from Danish club FC Midtjylland after four years there. Apparently, the Danish club did not receive an acceptable offer, but everything points to him finally changing clubs this summer. Premier League new boys Brentford are already considered a likely destination. They and Midtjylland are owned by the same man.
4.Akinkunmi Amoo
Reports have suggested that Hammarby IF want as much as six Million Euros for the pocket-sized Nigeria magician after his flying start to the new season in Sweden. ‘Akin’ has really caught the eye with some inspirational displays and goals after playing mostly as a sub last season. Some of Europe’s top guns like La Liga champions Atletico Madrid, Valencia as well as Leicester in the Premier League and Club Brugge of Belgium have so far been listed as serious suitors.
3.Terem Moffi
The young striker’s 14 goals helped to keep FC Lorient in Ligue 1. He cost them eight Million Euros last summer, but should they get thrice that amount by the new transfer window, they will sell because they need the cash following the problems with TV rights in the French league. Borussia Dortmund have been in touch, but even some top clubs in France could be interested in signing him.
2.Simeon Nwankwo
‘Simy’ fired 20 goals in Serie A to match the 20 he also scored last season in Serie B. His club Crotone may have been relegated, but he will most certainly not go down with them as his goals have sparked off interests from across all five major leagues.
1.Paul Onuachu
It is now not a question of whether or not the giant striker will quit Genk, the posers are how much he will be sold for and where will he shooting for goals next season. He netted 34 goals in all competitions for his Belgian club, who will hope to cash in big time from his transfer now. Asking price is put at around 30 Million Euros. Even in Corona times, that’s not asking too much for a complete striker, who will shine in any of the major leagues. He will be money well spent no matter the amount. Just ask Genk to paid a mere six Million Euros for him two years ago.
Pls am good to go with you. good morning.
Thanks
