FC Cologne may have lost again in the Bundesliga, but Emmanuel Dennis still earned the praise of the new coach.
Cologne fell 3-0 against Bayer Leverkusen, but Dennis, who was not listed for the previous game against Mainz 05, played the entire 90 minutes.
It was a good shift by the Nigeria star, according to new coach Friedhelm Funkel.
“I think he played a good game in general,” he said.
“It was not easy for him. He was much better at putting pressure on the ball and worked a lot, but of course there is also room for improvement.”
Dennis is on loan at Cologne from Club Brugge till season’s end .
