Former Enugu Rangers star Chisom Egbuchulam has alerted European clubs with his incredible burst of goals in China, IKENWA NNABUOGOR reckons…
Chisom Egbuchulam may have got unfinished business with Europe having turned down offers from France and other European clubs to head to the East in a desperate bid to get his groove back after rather unforgettable mixed fortunes in his European start in Sweden.
The combative front man had nothing to prove again at the home front after winning the league title and the NPFL Most Valuable Player with Enugu Rangers as Swedish modest side BK Hacken get him on board the European train.
Hacken were far from the perfect start he had wished for as he struggled in front of goal and pitifully returned a blank score sheet in 10 league outings.
But it was at the lower rung in the same Scandinavian nation at Falkenburgs that his scoring boots were ferried back to him from Enugu and he was very much on fire, sending ‘keepers to retrieve the ball from back of the nets 14 times.

His smoking form sparked a rush for his quickness and sharpness in front of goal, but the lure of the fortunes from the East landed him in Korea Republic for Suwon FC and he’s yet to hit Europe till date.
But his incredible form in China could appear to put an end to his Asian sojourn in due course as he currently sits atop the scorers’ chart in the Chinese second-tier league for table topping Meizhou Hakka with 17 goals and looking all but set to be crowned the league champions with just eight games left to play.
The Enugu home boy, though hailing from Imo State, buried his 17th goal of the season over the weekend to maintain his superb consecutive scoring form for the eighth game on the trot.
The 29-year-old star buried his fourth brace on the bounce, after hitting a mouth-watering 10 goals in a consecutive eight games to overthrow his compatriot Kingsley Onuegbu of Shaanxi Chang on the scorers’ chart.
Though his oriental move has confined him to second-tier league football since he left Sweden three years ago, his incredible goal rush could attract him a lucrative move to top flight football in Europe, where he had rejected offers to pursue financial heavens in the East.

With impressive bulging bank balance sheets guaranteed for his sweat in the East and at a very ripe age of 29 to complement it, his Europe calling is just a matter of time.
His low centre of gravity and forceful speed will be highly appreciated in Europe and good enough he knows where the goal is.
For Egbuchulam, this is the right time to attend to his unfinished business in Europe and another shot will surely be worth it.
With eight games left to the end of the season in China, Egbuchulam’s head will be held very high as potential league champion as Meizhou Hakka do not appear to stop firing their way to their first league title and eventual promotion back to the Chinese top flight.
All the same, welcome back to Europe, Chisom!
