Victor Boniface has described as “a special opportunity” his transfer to Bundesliga club Bayer Leverkusen.

The 22-year-old striker has signed a five-year contract with Bayer after he scored against them in a Europa League quarterfinal clash last season.
He said: “This is a special opportunity that I really wanted to take.
“I experienced the atmosphere here in the stadium myself, and even then I could guess the potentials of this club.
"After our talks I now know: This is a top club with a great team! I'm really looking forward to playing football in this environment and I want to play my part in Bayer 04's future success."
Bayer Leverkusen sports director Simon Rolfes said they have been tracking the striker and believe he will add value to the team.
"We've had Victor Boniface on our radar for a long time," Rolfes revealed.
"His performance in a direct duel then absolutely confirmed our positive assessment.
“Victor is a very lively centre-forward who is difficult to play against and who poses a challenge for every defender because of his physicality.
“In addition, he is also fast and technically good.
“With him we have a strong but still viable and flexible striker in our ranks for the long term.
“He will help us to improve the quality of our squad in the many games in the Bundesliga, DFB Cup and Europa League.”
