Samuel Adegbenro has joined Swedish club IFK Norrkoping from Rosenborg BK of Norway, where he has fallen out of favour.
Rosenborg announced the transfer today with sports director Micke Dorsin wishing him the best at his new club.
He has signed a deal for four and a half years.
The 25-year-old winger scored 16 goals in 83 matches for Rosenborg after he joined them from fellow Norwegian club Viking in 2017.
Norrkoping finished sixth in Sweden this past season.
Coach Rikard Norling said Adegbenro will strengthen their attack.
Earlier reports were that former club Viking could well woo one-time fans’ favourite Adegbenro from Rosenborg.
Adegbenro had a year of his contract with Rosenborg, which he signed in the summer of 2017.
However, the winger has struggled with injuries and lack of game time so much so that last season he only started five matches.
