Defensive midfielder Uba Charles has signed a four-year contract with Lillestrom from Swedish club Ljungskile SK, the Norwegian club announced today.
The transfer is effective from January 1, 2023.
We are looking forward to him becoming part of the team from the start of the season next year,” said Lillestrom sports director Simon Mesfin.
“He is 19 years old and a young boy with whom we must be patient, but he is a very exciting player.”
Uba Charles, who is described as an exciting ball winner, said he is excited to finalise the transfer.
“It was very nice to be here (Lillestrom). I enjoyed myself very well and felt at home from the first moment,” he said.
“It also helped that there were several other Nigerian players here. Especially Mathew – who comes from the same area as me. He is a very nice guy.
“I’m really looking forward to it and can’t wait to become part of Lillestrøm.”
