Tunisian league top scorer Anthony Okpotu is set to complete a $1.2 million transfer to Qatar Sports Club, according to media reports.
Foot24 has reported Okpotu, who was crowned Goal King in Tunisia with 13 goals this past season, has agreed the move.
The US Monastir star, who was also linked to Tunisian champions Esperance after his goals, is now only waiting his travel papers for him to join the club.
Interestingly, another Qatari club, Umm Salal, were recently close to signing him, but a delay to fly out to Qatar scuttled the deal.
Former Super Eagles forward Babatunde Michael has played for Qatar Sports Club, who are based in the capital city of Doha.
They are currently eighth on the 12-team league table with three points from as many matches.
‘The Panther’ Okpotu has also previously played in Libya, Morocco and Albania.
