IFK Norrkoping have announced they have given young former Golden Eaglets midfielder ‘Golden Boy’ Ishaq Abdulrazak a professional contract.
Further details of the deal were not announced but it is believed to be a long-term contract after the Swedish club first scouted him two years ago, when he was only 16.
‘Golden Boy’ Abdulrazak featured in the ill-fated Golden Eaglets who failed to go past Niger three years ago in an U17 AFCON qualifier.
Norrkoping manager Jens Gustafsson told the club’s official website they are thrilled to sign the hard working midfielder after he turned 18 this year.
“We have come to know Ishaq for a long time, both as a player and as a person. We have come to know a very humble guy and a player who we think will fit into IFK Norrköping in a very good way,” he said.
“He has exceptional qualities and is a hard working player.
“I am absolutely sure that our supporters will take Ishaq to their heart very quickly.”
The player from Unity Academy in Kaduna said he was thrilled with the chance.
“It feels very good. IFK have taken care of me in a very good way. I want to thank all the players, officials and my family,” he saluted.
