Qualification to the knockout rounds of this year’s FIFA Women’s World Cup will double the bonus each Super Falcons player will receive.
Participation in the group stage has already earned each of the 23 players on the Falcons World Cup squad $30,000 (about 24 Million Naira) each.
The nine-time African champions top Group B with four points from two matches after the shock win over co-hosts Australia and they will qualify for the Round of 16 should they avoid defeat against Republic of Ireland Monday morning.
A place in the Round of 16 will guarantee each Super Falcons player $60,000 (about 48 Million Naira).
In the process, the cash-strapped NFF will also pocket $1,870,000, which is a huge improvement on the $1,560,000 had the Falcons run at the World Cup terminated in the group stage.
