Super Falcons barely survived a scare by arch-rivals Ghana to go through to a final playoff against Cote d’Ivoire for next year’s Women’s AFCON in Morocco.
The Falcons fell 1-0 tonight in Accra, Ghana, to advance to the next round 2-1 on aggregate.
Princella Adubea grabbed Ghana’s winner midway through the second half.
Both teams had a player sent off – Black Queens captain Portia Boakye was sent off after a second booking, while Glory Ogbonna saw red moments later.
They will now battle Cote d’Ivoire, who smashed past Niger 9-0 in first leg qualifier.
The playoff will be done in February with the overall winners advancing to Morocco 2022.
