As first reported by SCORENigeria, coach Eric Chelle will settle for his tried and trusted players for tonight’s AFCON Group C opener against Tanzania and he will also stick to his favoured 4-4-2 formation.
Victor Osimhen and Jerome Akor will lead the strike force, while Ademola Lookman and Samuel Chukwueze are the wingers as Nigeria go for goals against the Taifa Stars.
Captain Wilfred Ndidi will again be supported by Alex Iwobi in midfield, while the back four has fullbacks Bright Osayi-Samuel and Zaidu Sanusi as well as Calvin Bassey and Semi Ajayi in the heart of the defence.
Stanley Nwabali keeps his place between the goal despite speculations over his fitness as well as his recent instability.
