Goalkeeper Francis Uzoho will be out for the rest of the season after he injured his knee in action for the Super Eagles, according to his Cypriot club Omonia Nicosia.
Omonia Nicosia announced Uzoho will be sidelined for 36 weeks after he was forced out of Sunday’s friendly against Brazil in Singapore.
The young shot stopper went up to deal with an aerial ball, fell down badly and in the process smashed his knee.
Uzoho was fighting to reclaim his No 1 shirt in the Eagles when he suffered this major injury.
He manned Nigeria goal a last year’s World Cup in Russia, but lost his place to Daniel Akpeyi at the 2019 AFCON in Egypt.
