Super Eagles midfielder Afeez Aremu has apologised to FC Kaiserslautern after he was sent off and the German club lost the Bundesliga 2 home tie.
Second-half sub Aremu was sent off in the 59th minute after which visiting Hetha Berlin grabbed the winning goal just before full time.
“Really gutted about the result in today (Saturday) game and my red card,” the midfielder said on X.
“I will definitely learn from it. I will also take the full responsibility for the loss of the game and also apologize to the whole team & fans.”
Kaiserslautern are just two points outside the relegation zone after 16 matches.
