Senegal today became the first team to qualify for the quarterfinal of the U20 AFCON from Group A, which also has the Flying Eagles, after they dumped Mozambique 3-0.
The Junior Teranga Lions thus amassed six points from two matches having won their opening game against Nigeria Sunday.
Mozambique have a point, while the Flying Eagles remain without any points before their second group game against hosts Egypt.
On Saturday, Senegal battle Egypt and Mozambique tackle Nigeria.
The top two teams from each of the three groups will automatically advance to the last-eight along with two third best losers.
