It was yet another winning weekend for Nigerian strikers across Europe with Victor Osimhen, Taiwo Awoniyi and Jerome Akor all leading their respective clubs to victories.
5.Mohammed Tijani
Former Flying Eagles striker Class of 2019 opened his goals account for new club Slavia Praha incidentally against his former club Banik Ostrava. It was the only goal of the game and it lifted Slavia above city rivals Sparta Praha to the top of the standings in the Czech Republic after five rounds of matches. This goal should boost the confidence of the giant striker as he settles in at the bigger Slavia Praha, who are seeking to reclaim the championship after they lost it to Sparta this past campaign.
4.Gift Orban
Amid the transfer speculations surrounding him, the compact-built striker has kept his cool to continue to score goals for Gent. He followed up with his hat-trick in the UEFA Europa Conference League with his second goal in the Belgian league for Gent to salvage a draw at home with St.Truiden and take them to the top of the table. Gent are now two points clear of nearest rivals Union St.Gilloise. But what will happen to them should they lose Gift Orban to a club in a major league before this summer transfer window shuts down?

3.Jerome Akor
Despite the Norwegian league not been at the same level with the Ligue 1, ‘Air Akor’ has taken to the French top league like duck to water as he fired his third goal in two games in a massive win at Lyon at the weekend. He netted Montpellier fourth goal a minute to full time to follow up on his brace on his debut against Le Havre a week ago. Certainly a great start to life in France for another former Flying Eagles star.
2.Taiwo Awoniyi
The Super Eagles striker inspired Nottingham Forest to their first win of the new Premier League season with the opening goal against newly promoted Sheffield United. He has now scored in six straight Premier League matches to make him the first Nigerian player to do so. Forest will hope he stays fit for his goals to again secure them their place in the English top league for the second straight season.

1.Victor Osimhen
This force of nature scored a double to get off to a flying start in the new Serie A season at newly promoted Frosinone. Both goals were top-class and proved he will again take some stopping in the new season after he was crowned Goal King last term with 26 goals. He has pledged his future at Napoli and it will be interesting to see how far he and the Naples club go this campaign in the absence of Luciano Spalletti, who has been appointed new coach of Italy. But you can be sure that if he stayed healthy, he will be up there with the best again.
