Top Transfer Expert Fabrizio Romano has explained why Chelsea are avoiding to move in for Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen and the conditions to be met if the deal was to actually happen.
Osimhen wishes to quit Napoli preferably for the Premier League has seen his release clause and wages being huge stumbling blocks, with agents and clubs finding it difficult to hit a common ground.
Romano has explained that this same humongous release clause is what Chelsea find “crazy” and what is hindering them.
“Chelsea will not pay crazy money. €120m, €12m salary net, this is something Chelsea will not do,” he explained on his YouTube channel.
“If the conditions for the deal of Osimhen will be different in maybe some weeks, we will see. But as of today, Chelsea will not go for Osimhen at crazy conditions.
“It is the same with (Michael) Olise, other players. Chelsea would only do these deals if the real cost is going to be different “
Chelsea are now beginning to look at other transfer targets.
