The sensational Gift Orban showed again he still has his shooting boots on after he scored his third hat-trick of the season for Gent to consolidate their top position in the UEFA Conference League playoffs.

5.Chidozie Awaziem
The Super Eagles defender was again on target for his club HNK Hadjuk Split to defeat NK Osijek 3-0 at home. It was the fifth goal in the league for the 26-year-old Awaziem. This is an impressive tally for a defender. With two rounds of matches to the end of the season, his Croatian club remain second in the standings and occupy the place for qualification to the UEFA Europa League next season.
4.Chinonso Offor
The big striker is steadily finding his feet in the Major League Soccer (MLS) with a goal and Man of the Match award in Montreal Impact 2-0 home win over fellow Canadian club Toronto. It was his second goal of the season. This is his second shot at glory in the MLS after he first joined for Chicago Fire in 2021. Hopefully, the 22-year-old striker will score more goals to improve his numbers after he struggled to establish himself.
3.Jerome Akor
He has already been dubbed as “the hottest striker in Norway” and rightly so as he has now scored six goals in as many matches for high-riding Lillestrom. His sixth strike again came at the death and it again proved to be the match winner at Odd, just as he also delivered late winners at Stromgodset and Valerenga. His goals have most certainly not gone unnoticed as several top clubs including Werder Bremen are now running the rule on the former Flying Eagles striker.
2.Taiwo Awoniyi
The Super Eagles striker is producing the goals for Nottingham Forest when they are most needed in their battle to stay up in the Premier League. He netted his second brace back-to-back in a week at Chelsea to earn Forest a very precious point on the road. He has now scored eight goals in his first season in England and his club are so far three points clear of the drop zone with two rounds of the matches to the end of the season.
1.Gift Orban
Nineteen goals and two assists in 19 appearances since January is now the sensational record racked up by this awesome sharp shooter. He fired his third hat-trick for Gent to smash past hosts Cercle Brugge 4-0. The explosive striker later said he wishes to score more than three goals in a game. Gent though are not complaining as they are seven points clear at the top of the Conference League playoffs halfway through the mini-league series. Victory at home against Cercle Brugge Saturday will fetch them a ticket to the UEFA Europa Conference League next season.
