5.Simeon Nwankwo
Crotone are in top contention for a return to Serie A thanks in part to the goals of the striker, whose late goal against Cremonese gave his team full points at the weekend. The big striker now has nine goals in the Italian lower league. Should Crotone at least maintain second spot right down to season’s end, they will automatically win promotion back to the Italian top flight.
4.Anthony Nwakaeme
The winger scored one of the goals for title-chasing Trabzonspor to end an eight-year jinx against Genclerbirligi. It was also his 11th goal in all competitions – 8 in the Turkish league, 2 in the cup and one in the UEFA Europa League.
3.Moses Simon
The jet-heeled winger has now scored eight goals and provided as many assists in all competitions with French club FC Nantes after they held Dijon to a dramatic 3-3 draw in Ligue 1. He has scored in his last three matches to underline a form that has reportedly caught the eyes of some top clubs outside France.
2.Victor Osimhen
The all-action striker scored his 12th Ligue 1 goal as Lille revived their hopes of a top-four finish with a win at Angers. Osimhen has most certainly been one of the success stories in France this season as he has now banged 18 goals in all competitions thus far. It is therefore understandable why speculations have persisted over his future at his French club with reports suggesting some of Europe’s top clubs already have a big cheque for him in the summer.
