Left winger Moses Simon is flying high at Ligue 1 club FC Nantes because he now plays as a twin striker in a 4-4-2 formation.
Simon has been playing alongside Edmond in the attack and that has seen him now score eight goals and provide as many assists in this new role.
His speed, power and directness have helped him in this new position.
The Super Eagles winger said he will play wherever coach Christian Gourcuff wants him to.
“I prefer to play on the left wing, it’s naturally my position,” said Simon, who will this week ascertain the severity of the knee injury he suffered at the weekend.
“However, I place myself according to the choices of the coach and his demands.”
It would be recalled that he also played as a wingback at Levante before his move to Nantes.
Simon’s Algerian teammate and midfielder Mehdi Abeid praised the energy the Nigeria star has brought to ‘The Canaries’.
“He is a very important player of the team. He is a very efficient player. He brings energy to the team,” he saluted.
Moses Simon is on a season-long loan from La Liga club UD Levante, but he said he would love to extend his stay at Nantes, but the final decision does not rest only on him.
“Yes of course, I want to stay. I feel very good at Nantes . However, my future does not depend only on me,” he insisted.
He is the highest paid player at Nantes with a monthly salary of 150,000 Euros.
