The Premier League is back and running and new boys Taiwo Awoniyi and Joe Aribo have added more shine to the most glamorous league in the world.
5.Henry Onyekuru
Ambitious Adana Demirspor will be a force to be reckoned with in the Turkish Super Lig this season and one of the reasons for this will be their loanee Onyekuru, who scored for the second straight game for the club to be top of the standings. Turkey has been a happy hunting ground for the former AS Monaco forward going by his performances with Galatasaray in three different loan spells. His run this season should help him regain his place in the Super Eagles.

4.Esther Onyenezide
A rocket of a shot by the FC Robo midfielder against Korea Republic has clinched a quarterfinal place for the Falconets at the U20 FIFA World Cup in Costa Rica. Onyenezide let fly from well outside the box to give Nigeria maximum points and their second win in Group C. She is one of several youngsters like Flourish Sebastine, Mercy Idoko and skipper Tosin Demehin who are now knocking loudly on the door of the Super Falcons for next year’s Women’s World Cup in Australia and New Zealand.
3.Joe Aribo
The former Rangers midfielder made the most of his home debut in the Premier League with the goal that inspired a Southampton comeback against Leeds United. ‘The Saints’ eventually snatched a 2-2 draw to record their first point of the new campaign.

2.Ademola Lookman
The Super Eagles forward announced his arrival in the Italian Serie A with a goal for Atlanta at Sampdoria this past weekend. He came off the bench to start justifying the 15 Million Euros Atlanta forked out to sign him from Bundesliga club RB Leipzig. His permanent transfer should bring stability to his career after going on loans in the last three seasons.
1.Taiwo Awoniyi
Awoniyi, now one of 15 new signings, could not have scripted a better story than his home debut for newly promoted Nottingham Forest against West Ham. It may have been a lucky goal by the striker, but it gave Forest their first goal and first victory back in the Premier League after 23 years. After a laboured loss at Newcastle the previous, this spirited win can only lift the belief of the club and their fans they can fight to survive in the top flight.
