Sadiq Umar has been awarded the La Liga 2 Best Player Award for January.
The UD Almeria striker was outstanding in the month under review, scoring five of the eight goals scored by his club.
Sadiq opened the year with a magnificent hat-trick in the 3-1 win against SD Ponferradina.
Later he scored one of Almería’s 2-2 goals with CE Sabadell and finally scored again in a 3-1 win over CD Castellón.
His scoring nose and his ability to see the goal have been essential for Almeria to have achieved seven points out of the possible nine in the first month of the year and march in third place in La Liga 2, in play-off positions for promotion to La Liga.
