Odion Ighalo was a late sub on his debut as Al Shabab reclaimed their leadership of the Saudi Arabian league courtesy of a 4-1 win over Al Raed.
Ighalo, who this week signed a two and a half years contract with Al Shabab, was introduced in the 84th minute.
Al Shabab now have 35 points from 17 matches, two points ahead of closest rivals Al Ahli.
Next weekend, they will be guests of Al Nassr, who last year released Super Eagles captain Ahmed Musa.
