Paul Onuachu, who has yet to return to full fitness after the holidays, will come face-to-face with fellow Nigeria star David Okereke when cup winners Genk take on champions Club Brugge in tomorrow’s Belgium Super Cup.
This prestigious match-up will usher the new season in Belgium, which will get underway next week Friday.
Onuachu was Goal King of Belgium with 34 goals last season, while Okereke managed four goals for Club Brugge.
Both forwards are expected to quit their Belgian clubs.
Onuachu has been linked with several clubs in the major leagues, while Okereke will need to move as he has failed to justify the eight Million Euros Club Brugge splashed on him two years ago.
