Swedish club IFK Goteborg have announced the transfer of Alhassan Yusuf to Royal Antwerp, saying it is the next big step in the career of the highly-rated midfielder.
IFK sports director Pontus Farnerud said on the club’s official website: “Hasse (Yusuf) has had a clear development with us and has grown both as a player and as a person, and is now ready to take the next step,” said the top official.
“This shows once again that we attract eyes from the continent.
“We are satisfied with the negotiations and happy for Hasse’s sake that he takes the step further.
“We thank him for this time and wish him the best of luck.”
The 20-year-old Yusuf managed to play 96 competitive matches for the Swedish club.
He said he is excited with a new challenge.
