“It is a big game and both teams want to win.
“It will be a tough match against a good team, who have been favourites from the first day, but I repeat I want to win, nothing more
“This is one big opportunity to win the AFCON, we must take it, it will be tough but we will fight to win.”
The Elephants of Cote d’Ivoire will enjoy massive support at a packed Alassane Quattara Stadium in Abidjan tomorrow, but Peseiro maintained his team will have to focus on the task at hand,
“We like to play in a full stadium with a good atmosphere, we only have to concentrate on what we do on the pitch,” he said.
The Portuguese coach described captain Ahmed Musa as “much more than a player” because he has advised him on many issues even though he has yet to play at this tournament.
He also spoke glowingly on Napoli striker Victor Osimhen and the role has has played for the Super Eagles to reach their eighth AFCON Final.
“He fights for the team, he does maximum sacrifice because he knows he is an important player, he doesn’t play as a star, he suffers many pressure, many stress,” he remarked.
“No one can do everything alone and for that we fight together.”
