Napoli have announced that Victor Osimhen will not have to undergo surgery for a shoulder injury he picked up on Super Eagles duty last week.
Osimhen dislocated his shoulder during the dramatic 4-4 draw with Sierra Leone in Benin City last Friday.
The injury ruled him out of the return leg match in Sierra Leone on Tuesday.
Napoli announced: “Victor Osimhen underwent tests in Rome on Wednesday which confirmed that he has suffered a dislocated shoulder.
“The player has already begun physiotherapy on the injury and will be reassessed on a daily basis.”
He is already expected to miss this weekend’s Serie A game against leaders AC Milan as well as next week’s UEFA Europa League group game against Rijeka.
