Amid rumours over the future of coach Gennaro Gattuso, Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen has made his own position clear.
Gattuso’s contract runs out at the end of the season and the speculations are that Luciano Spalletti will be the man to lead Napoli in the new season.
But Osimhen hopes Gattuso stays put, according to his agent, William Da Vila.
“It depends on technical issues as they understand each other very well as far as things are concerned, but their personalities are perfectly matches as well,” the agent told calcionapoli24.it
“Victor has great respect for Gattuso.
“It’s football but it would certainly be a shame. He is a really good coach.”
The former Italy midfield warrior was one of those who convinced Osimhen to take the big jump to Serie A from Lille in Ligue 1 last year.
It was even reported that he was open for a salary cut to ensure Osimhen was signed.
