Tunisian league leading scorer Anthony Okpotu could still play in Europe, according to his coach at US Monastir.
The former Lobi Stars striker has netted 10 goals before the season was suspended due to the Coronavirus Pandemic with his club third in the standings.
His goals have since sparked off interests from other clubs in Tunisia as well as North Africa and the Gulf.
But Monastir coach Lassaad Chabbi, who has Austrian roots, said he strongly believes the one-time NPFL hotshot can still do the business in Europe.
“He has done very well and can still play for a club in Europe,” remarked Chabbi.
“He’s strong and knows his way to goal.”
Okpotu has previously played in Libya and Morocco and he now hopes to complete the season in Tunisia when it resumes in August.
He still has a year left on his contract with USM.
