Kelechi Nwakali has been suspended by Spanish Segunda Division club SD Huesca after he reported back to the club late from the recent AFCON in Cameroon.
The midfielder, who has captained both the Flying Eagles and Golden Eaglets, has been suspended for 10 days without pay and also fined.
He rejoined his club 10 days late and offered “incredible stories” for his lateness.
Nwakali’s contract with Huesca will run out this summer and he could walk away a free agent.
