Amid uncertainty over his future at Turkish giants Trabzonspor, Antony Nwakaeme has declared he has regained full fitness and will be very much available for the Turkish giants.
This season, the 36-year-old Nwakaeme has endured injury layoffs that forced Trabzonspor to even drop his registration.
However, he has since been re-instated to the league squad and Friday night he came off the bench late on to deliver an assist for Trabzonspor to beat Kasimpasa 2-1 in the Turkish Super Lig.
The all-action forward celebrated the hard-fought home win, while also making it clear he is back to full fitness and still has something to offer.
“The team is happy, Trabzon is happy. That’s what’s important,” said Nwakaeme, whose contract will be up in June.
“I’m still healthy, I can play, I can run. As long as I can play, I will continue to play football. You never know what will happen in football.
“In Trabzonspor, the decisions will be made by our coach and our president, not Nwakaeme.
“I am very happy in Trabzon, I feel very lucky. Whether I stay or leave, Trabzon will always be in my heart.”
