Super Eagles defender Chibuike Nwaiwu has responded to speculations that have linked him with a transfer to the Premier League.
Nwaiwu played the entire game in a 2-1 win over Basaksehir at the weekend and afterwards he said: “”I saw the (transfer) news too. I want to focus on my football, on the game I play. I already have a contract with Trabzonspor. After that, it’s up to the club to decide.”
The former Enyimba star has been widely linked with Fulham and it has already been reported that the transfer has been stalled because his Turkish club have demanded more money before they will let him go.
Nwaiwu joined Trabzonspor in January from Austria and has been outstanding for the top Turkish team as to be rewarded with a Super Eagles debut in March.
