Club Brugge starlet Antonio Nusa is now a major transfer target, but the man who gave the young winger his Norway debut has complained the hype around the player is “unhealthy”.
Norway coach Stale Solbakken told Het Nieuwsblad that predictions around Nusa must be cautious because he is not yet the finished article.
“Unfortunately, Antonio is now struggling with injuries, but he is a fantastic player, and he’s only 18,” he said.
“I think we should be careful with predictions about such young players.”
He further said: “The hype surrounding Antonio can already sometimes be called unhealthy, also in Norway. There are still areas to work on, such as his efficiency, but there is no doubt that he has the potential to reach the top.”This past summer, Chelsea reportedly had 30 Million Euros for Nusa, whose father is Nigerian, but he rejected it.
“Antonio made the right choice,” the Norway coach said.
“At Chelsea he would just be a number, while now he plays regularly with Club Brugge.”
