Newly promoted Norwegian club Fredrikstad FK want to sign midfielder Abdussalam Magashy from Swedish club AIK after he did not enjoy much playing time this past season.
Magashy, 25, joined AIK this year as a free agent and has a contract till 2026.
He netted two goals in 15 appearances this past season and his playing time reduced on the arrival of new coach Henning Berg.
He was therefore tipped as one of several players likely to depart AIK by the New Year.
Expressen has now reported that Norwegian side Fredrikstad FK are one of several clubs interested in the midfielder.
However, the 25-year-old midfielder is hoping for a better offer, according to the newspaper.
Fredrikstad are back in the Norwegian top league next year after they won the OBOS league this season.
Magashy’s former club Värnamo confirmed last summer that they tried to resign him, but AIK turned them down.
How might the interest of a newly promoted Norwegian club in signing Magashy influence the player’s career and team dynamics?
