Victor Osimhen will undergo a late fitness test ahead of Sunday’s Serie A home game against champions AC Milan, it has been reported.
Osimhen is nursing a muscle injury from international duty with the Super Eagles against Guinea Bissau.
It was reported that he played with the injury for Nigeria and ought to have skipped the return leg game in Bissau, but insisted on playing beyond the pain barrier.
The 24-year-old striker has netted 21 times for table toppers Napoli, who are 19 points clear of nearest rivals Lazio and 23 points ahead of Milan.
He had missed a handful of games earlier in the season as a result of injury.
