The CHAN Eagles face a very daunting task to qualify for next year’s CHAN in Algeria after they fell 2-0 to rivals Ghana today.
The local Eagles will now have to turn the table against the Ghanaians next weekend in Abuja if they hope to make it to Algeria in January.
After a goalless first half, Ghana went in front in the 49th minute from a penalty tucked away by Afriyie Barnie.
The Eagles under coach Salisu Yusuf chased the game thereafter, but it was the home team who doubled their lead five minutes from time through Suraj Seidu.
