MatchRoom FC coach, Joshua Tyobee, and teenage sensation Amos Mata have emerged Coach of the Season and Most Valuable Player (MVP) respectively, at the just concluded Fiidi Grassroots League, in Makurdi, Benue State.
Although Tyobee’s side finished second behind eventual winners, Ghetto FC, his wards played a brand of football that earned them more followership in the state.
“It was a nice experience for us and we look forward to the next season. Young talents in Benue have identified MatchRoom as the team of choice,” Tyobee said.
Mata dedicated his MVP award to the team.
The teenager stated: “I’m excited because it’s my first award. We followed the coach’s instructions and played as a fantastic team.
“I dedicate my MVP award to the entire team and our partners.”
