Abdussalam Magashy has vowed to battle on despite going through a rough patch at Swedish club AIK Solna.
He is out of favour at AIK, who he joined last year as a free agent.
Former club Varnamo will want to have him back on loan, but AIK have turned down this.
The 25-year-old midfielder told Expressen: “It’s really tough. All players want playing time and at the beginning of the season I got a lot of playing time – but all of a sudden I have had to find myself in this situation.
“Then it becomes really difficult. You know, eventually you start thinking about what you’re doing wrong? What can I do better? It is tough in many ways.
“But I have decided to turn this around and face the challenge in a positive way. It’s important to keep your head up.”
Magashy said he cannot guarantee that he will remain in AIK when the transfer window closes next month.
“Honestly, I don’t know right now. We’ll see,” admitted the midfielder.
