The Super Eagles have been hit by late withdrawals for friendlies against Saudi Arabia and Mozambique, which will serve as tune-up games for next month’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers.
Cardiff City defender Jamilu Collins is the latest call-up to pull out of the friendlies in Portugal due to injury.
He has now been replaced by Boavista defender Chidozie Awaziem.
Real Sociedad striker Sadiq Umar and Italy-based defender Tyronne Ebuehi were already handed late call-ups by coach Jose Peseiro.
Sadiq Umar has been selected in place of the injured Taiwo Awoniyi, while Ebuehi replaces Ola Aina, who is also out with an injury.
Nottingham Forest striker Awoniyi will be sidelined by a groin injury for several weeks, his Premier League said.
Sadiq Umar has returned from a long-term knee injury.
The striker last featured for the country in a 2022 World Cup playoff against Ghana in March 2022.
Nigeria tackle Saudi Arabia in Portugal Friday, before another test game against Mozambique three days later.
The friendlies will be used by the Eagles to prepare for next month’s 2026 World Cup qualifiers against Lesotho and Zimbabwe.
