Odion Ighalo has said he hopes to reach his first FA Cup final with Manchester United tomorrow after he missed out on doing so with Watford four years ago.
Manchester United battle Chelsea on Sunday in the second semifinal with the winners up squaring up in the cup final against the winners of the other clash between Manchester City and Arsenal.
“To get to the FA Cup final would be great for me in my life and my career,” Ighalo said on Instagram.
“I missed out in 2016(with Watford) and I have the opportunity to now get to the final with the club I supported all my life.
“It would make my dreams perfect.”
Three of Ighalo’s five goals for United on loan from Chinese Super League club Shanghai Shenhua have been in the FA Cup.
He said he will stay focused so that when he is called to duty he is ready for battle.
“As a professional, you have to be ready, you have to have that mental strength to be ready,” the striker further said ahead of the epic clash against Chelsea.
We train hard to keep fit and I’m always ready when I’m called upon, and I will give 100%.
“You always have to stay focused.”
