Sports minister Sunday Dare has maintained all sports federations under his watch will get the necessary attention they require to fly the country’s flag high and so he will not just focus on the national sport, football.
“It is my primary duty to give all the federations attention. Be it badminton, table tennis, tennis, basketball, you name it. One thing I want to make clear is that I am not a football Minister,” Dare declared.
Speaking further, the minister intimated that he had begun working assiduously to secure private partnerships with corporate bodies who have indicated interest to join the ministry to move sports to the next level in the country.
“Sports is a lucrative business, they gain, we gain, sports in Nigeria will be the better for it,” he said.
