Goalkeeper Ikechukwu Ezenwa, who Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr dismissed as not match fit to face Brazil, and captain Mfon Udoh have been listed by the CHAN Eagles for Saturday’s 2020 CHAN playoff second leg against Togo in Lagos.
Ezenwa opted out of the WAFU Nations Cup in Senegal so as to be part of the Eagles friendly against Brazil in Singapore.
However, Rohr played youngster Maduka Okoye ahead of Ezenwa when Francis Uzoho was injured in the game.
Coach Imama Amapakabo has also kept faith with captain Mfon Udoh, who struggled for form at the WAFU Cup and was even sent off.
New additions to the 20-man squad include Ifeanyi Nweke, Nyima Nwagua (Kano Pillars), Ifeanyi Anaemena (Enyimba) and Anthony Shamanga (Enugu Rangers).
The team have been training in Abuja and will fly out to Lagos later today.
Saturday’s match at the Agege Stadium will kick off by 4pm.
Togo won the first leg 4-1 in Lome last month and the overall winners will advance to the 2020 CHAN in Cameroon in June.
