Golden Eaglets trounced Pride FC of Abuja 5-1 today in a farewell game before they fly out to Algeria for the U17 AFCON.
The team led by coach Nduka Ugbade are billed to depart the country Sunday.
This comes as SCORENigeria learnt that 26 players made the final squad to the U17 AFCON.
The MRI age test dismantled almost the midfield of the team who topped the WAFU qualifiers last year in Ghana.
A proposed trip to Europe was called off at the last minute and so the team will now travel directly to Algeria.
Nigeria are drawn in a first round group that also has South Africa, Zambia and Morocco.
They open their campaign in Constantine, Algeria, on Sunday, April 30 against their Zambian counterparts.
The top four teams at this tournament will qualify for the 2023 FIFA U17 World Cup later this year.
