The FIFA U17 World Cup will start today in Indonesia without five-time winners the Golden Eaglets of Nigeria, but the country will still have an ambassador in Ethan Nwaneri.
Nwaneri became the youngest Premier League player when he was introduced un Arsenal 3-0 win over Brentford last season.
He was 15 years five months and 28 days on that day.
The attacking midfielder has since established himself with the Arsenal U21s, where he has netted five goals in six matches this season.
Both Chelsea and Manchester City tried to get the England U17 star, but manager Mikel Arteta convinced him his future is at Arsenal.
Nwaneri will now hope to lead England to a second U17 World Cup triumph and in the process get Arteta to give him an extended run in the Arsenal first team.
