The Golden Eaglets will no longer fly out to Germany enroute to the U17 AFCON in Algeria and will now train for 10 days in a North African country before the continental championship.
This change of plans was made public by the NFF executive committee after a meeting in Abuja.
The U17 AFCON, which will produce four African representatives to the U17 World Cup later this year, will be hosted by Algeria between April 29 and May 19.
The Eaglets are drawn in a first round group with South Africa, Morocco and Zambia.
