A low header deep into stoppage time by Osimhen restored parity for Napoli on the night, but a 1-0 loss at the San Siro a week ago meant Milan were the ones who got through to the semifinals.
It was Osimhen’s fifth goal in this year’s Champions League and he has now netted 26 goals in all competitions so far this season.
Before then, he was caged by Milan defender Fikayo Tomori, whose parents are Nigerians, and barely had a sniff at goal.
On a night full of drama, both teams also failed to score from the penalty spot.
Milan will now battle the overall winners of tomorrow’s tie between city rivals Inter Milan and Benfica for a place in the final.
Inter won the first leg in Portugal 2-0.
