The maiden edition of a scouting football tournament in Abuja organised by ABJ City Stars and supported by Footstool Estates was a huge success.

The quality of the players on display and the organisation of the tournament were commended by the foreign scouts who were in attendance.
“The football was of high standard and so it was easy to pick out some exceptionally talented players, who now have a chance to pursue their dreams to play in Europe,” commended Clovis Kessie, a scout from top Czech club Slavia Praha.

Footstool Estates Managing Director/CEO, Zichat Jehu Augustine, said the tournament was a worthwhile venture.
“This was our first foray into football and I must dare say it was a very fulfilling experience because we contributed to providing a credible platform for young players to realise their dream to play professional football in Europe,” he remarked.
“We are encouraged to do even more going forward.”
The tournament was staged at the Area 3 Sports Ground in Abuja between November 21 and 24, 2023.
