Flying Eagles coach Aliyu Zubairu has said he hopes his team beat Kenya today and win their U20 AFCON group so as to stay put in Cairo.
With four points from two matches, Nigeria are second behind leaders Morocco by virtue of the fact that the North Africans have scored more goals.
Kenya are bottom of the standings as they have lost their first two matches.
“We want to win the game so as to top the group as this will give us the advantage of staying back in Cairo,” the coach said.
“That’s the common talk among us and why we have to win this match.”
The Group B winners will be rewarded with a quarterfinal clash against the runners-up in Group A, who are currently South Africa.
The match will be played on May 12.
