Flying Eagles have said they will be going for another victory against Colombia Monday midnight after they got their U20 World Cup campaign back on track with a dramatic 3-2 win over Saudi Arabia.
The Nigeria U20s are now third in Group F and said they wish to guarantee their place in the Round of 16 by beating Colombia, who are joint leaders with Norway after both teams played out a scoreless draw.
“We’re happy with the victory against Saudi Arabia, it was not easy, and now we want all three points against Colombia,” said midfielder Daniel Daga,
“After the loss to Norway, where we ran out of luck, the boys resolved to beat Saudi Arabia,” added coach Aliyu Zubairu.
“Next we go for the three points against Colombia, it’s as simple as that.”
