Flying Eagles star striker Kparobo Ariehi has gone on loan to Norwegian second division club Mjondalen from Lillestrom.
Lillestrom said the loan will afford the 18-year-old striker, whose goals qualified Nigeria to the 2025 U20 AFCON, more playing time and experience.
We have decided that it is right to loan ‘KP’ to Mjøndalen,” said Lollestrom sports manager Simon Mesfin.
“This is something we have considered for a while. The fact that it is happening now coincides with Mjøndalen having sold its best striker to the Eliteserien, and that we consider the need for more playing time in the OBOS league to be important.”
He added: “We believe this loan will be good for “KP”. Both short-term – considering that he will get a lot of match training before he is potentially selected for the U20 World Cup – but also important for his long-term development, so that he will have the opportunity to take further steps towards 2026.”
