It has been revealed that Victor Osimhen’s transfer to Galatasaray almost collapsed after the Turkish champions attempted to resist the clause that will stop the striker from playing in Italy for at least the next two years.
There has been serious suspicion that either Juventus or AC Milan were indirectly behind Galatasaray push to sign Osimhen and that within a year the player will return to play for either of these clubs.
To counter this move, Napoli insisted on a clause that will ensure that Osimhen is not back playing in Italy for at least three years, before this was now reduced to two years.
II Mattino reported today that initially Galatasaray were rigid against this clause and this called into serious question that an Italian club were not involved in this while drama.
However, later yesterday Galatasaray later gave in and it was finally agreed that Osimhen will not play in the Italian Serie A for the next two years when he finally transfers to Galatasaray.
